We consider tree care a combination of science and art. As such, we carefully follow our seven step process to ensure your trees receive the proper care needed to flourish in the Pacific Northwest while providing a clean and safe environment for you and your family.
Step 1: Evaluate Trees
The first step in our tree care process involves a certified arborist visiting your residence or business. An assessment is made of the health, shape, and structural integrity of each tree and the certified arborist identifies dead, diseased, or hazardous branches. In addition to evaluating the physical state of your trees, the certified arborist will ask you about your desired appearance for your trees (i.e., aesthetic) and what your concerns regarding safety are. They will also assess site accessibility and determine the amount of pruning required for your trees to reach their maximum potential for health and longevity.Step 2: Provide Your Proposal
After the evaluation has been conducted by the certified arborist, a written estimate of the services to be provided is delivered to you. The estimated cost is clearly itemized, so that you understand what is included in the proposed work. It includes the details of the pruning work to be performed, the number of trees to be pruned, and a clear timeline for completion of the work. The estimate will also detail any costs associated with protecting your landscaping and other structures located adjacent to the areas to be pruned.Step 3: Prepare the Property
Once the estimate is accepted by you, our employees prepare the property to create a safe working environment for our employees. Wherever possible, we place protective covers over your lawn to prevent damage caused by heavy equipment and to protect your plants and hard-scape. We then strategically locate our equipment within the designated safety zone to minimize disruptions to your daily activities while protecting your property.Step 4: Perform Pruning Work
Our certified crew will perform the pruning work in accordance with the ANSI A300 standard. Each employee is trained in the proper use of climbing gear and rigging equipment to access the upper portion of the tree without causing unnecessary damage to the tree. Strategic cuts are made to allow the tree to heal properly. The primary goal of pruning is to remove targeted branches which would compromise the health of the tree while adhering to branch size limitations to preserve the natural appearance of the tree. Each employee works methodically, completing one tree completely before moving to another tree to maintain their concentration on quality.Step 5: Manage Debris
Debris management is a critical component of our safety protocol. We use ropes and rigging to drop branches to the ground in a controlled manner to prevent injury to you, your family members, or pets and to prevent damage to your landscaping and structure. Smaller branches are processed through a chipper for immediate disposal, while larger branches can be cut into manageable lengths for your firewood needs.Step 6: Complete Cleanup
A job is not complete until the property is restored to its original condition. We thoroughly remove all branches, debris, and wood chips from your property and rake the area to pick up sawdust and small twigs. We restore your landscaping back to its original condition and inspect the work area to assure it meets our high standards for cleanliness and your total satisfaction.Step 7: Provide Tree Health Recommendations
When our employees finish pruning your trees, they do not consider their job finished. We want to help you maintain your trees in the best possible way and recommend how to water your trees and suggest a pruning schedule based on the seasonal cycles in Kenmore. If at any time you notice something unusual about your trees, we encourage you to call us for assistance. We will provide you with the guidance you need to maintain a healthy and thriving canopy.
